Subway

The subway system ("Metrô") operates daily from 4:40 a.m. and has different closing times, according to the station, and the time limit to transfer between lines is midnight.

On Saturdays, the subway extends its hours to until 1 a.m. on Sunday, and ensures transfer between lines 1-Blue, 2-Green, 3-Red and 4-Yellow to all who board until that time. Line 5-Lilac runs Sunday through Saturday from 4:40 a.m. to 12:10 a.m.

The blue line covers the north-south route, connecting Tucuruvi to Jabaquara and has connection with lines Green, Red and Yellow; the Green Line crosses the Paulista Avenue linking station Vila Madalena to Vila Prudente; the Red Line cover the East-West route linking Corínthians / Itaquera to Barra Funda; the Yellow Line, which connects to lines Blue, Green and Red, goes from Luz to Butantã; and the Lilac Line goes from Capão Redondo to Largo Treze.

Single Ticket

The Single Ticket and allows up to 4 trips within 3 hours at the cost of a single fare. It also integrates bus and subway lines. It can be purchased at the shops, authorized dealers of SPTrans, points of sale (newspaper stands, bakeries, markets, etc.) and lottery shops. Leisure Tickets - BLA

Provides discount when using the Metrô and CPTM trains between 6 p.m. on Saturdays to until the close of operation on Sundays. The Leisure Ticket is also valid for the entire commercial line on national and state holidays in São Paulo. The ticket is for use exclusively in the subway-rail system and is not accepted on buses. It can be used in sequence by more than one person, without access restrictions and is rechargeable in the Single Ticket box-offices, newsstands and other authorized dealers.

The Department of Metropolitan Transportation recommends that users register with Metrô or CPTM at their websites after purchasing the ticket.
