Modern Art Week in 1922 was a milestone in Brazilian Modern Art, when Oswald de Andrade and friends redesigned Brazilian culture, ignoring international art as a model to be followed. A wide range of great names of this period, such as Anita Malfatti, Di Cavalcanti and Cícero Dias, may be seen at Shapes and Disclosures (Formas e Revelações) exhibition at MAB – Museum of the Brazilian Art, at FAAP, from February 10 until May 02. MARGINAL COMICS
A panorama of American and Brazilian marginal comics beginning with the first one from Zap Comix, by Robert Crumb, to the Sociedade Radioativa Nacional. Outstanding images will be displayed of covers, inside pages, heroes and villains, balloons and other elements found in a number of magazines.

A BOOK ABOUT DEATH
This exposition includes a series of 500 works of art in the form postcards. They are in various sizes, created by a number of artists especially to comprise a possible book about death beginning with the project started in New York.

HERCULES FLORENCE AND BRASIL: THE PATH OF AN INVE ARTIST
This exposition gathers for the first time in Brazil, an individual show of the iconographic production of the artist. Comprising nearly 180 works including watercolors, sketches, documents and manuscripts related to several periods of life in Florence. The show presents an overview of this unique artist’s life history, and attests to his real contribution to the group of images produced by the so-called traveling artists.

ARNALDO PEDROSO D’HORTA – HAND DRAWINGS

MAUREEN BISILLIAT: PHOTOGRAPH
Under great influence of Brazilian literature in her photograph work, Englishwoman Sheila Maureen Bisilliat moved to Brazil in 1957, working later as an editor in Realidade Magazine from 1964 to 1972. This exhibition provides an opportunity to an anthological reading of two different lines of work of this photographer and editor. GRUPO COLETIVO OH! SÃO PAULO
Started its art side in 2005, in the city of São Gonçalo – Rio de Janeiro observing different exhibition locations from urban art to museum environments. In order to summarize vanguard impulse, this group plays with interjection "OH!” that almost always reflects one’s sensation facing a work. The group lineup is: Dan Mabe, ENIVO, Jerry Batista, SLIKS, Tché and Zumi. Now group destination is Espaço 3058a, that additionally to art branches, also hosts fashion-dedicated projects. ABA SHELI – MY FATHER
This show organized by Isabelle Tuchband is a collection of her paintings and those of her father, the French artist Émile Tuchband. The works present a blend of France and Brazil which range from depictions of snow covered Montmartre to the Brazilian hinterlands.

Based on short anecdotes, a group tells true stories of day to day life in São Paulo, with some fictitious embellishments. The focus of the exposition is Rua Augusta and is a collection of texts and photos graphically arranged on a map beginning on Rua Martins Fontes and ending on Rua Estados Unidos.

THE MAGIC WORLD OF MARC CHAGALL – ETCHINGS
Exposition of 178 renderings by Marc Chagall, who was one of the greatest artists of the 20th century, including works such as "The Fables of La Fontaine (Aesop)" (1920s), the complete series of "The Bible" (1930s) and "Daphne and Chloe" (1950s).
